A Home Assistant dashboard card that displays a 7-day hourly weather forecast as a color-coded grid — one row per day, one cell per hour, temperature encoded as color so you can spot patterns at a glance. Or wind it into a spiral that gives near-term hours more space than distant ones, and bracket the daylight hours with sunrise & sunset markers.
Spiral Layout
The same forecast wound into a spiral. It starts at now on the outer edge and winds inward into the future — and because each turn inward is shorter, days further ahead take up less space. Screen real estate scales with forecast confidence: the near term is large and prominent, the far edge small and quiet. Midnight is always at 12 o'clock and the current temperature sits in the center.
Sunrise & Sunset Markers
Switch on sun_gaps to open thin gaps at sunrise and sunset,
bracketing the daylight hours — a narrow band in winter, wide in summer — with the exact times
printed at each gap. Sunrise and sunset are computed automatically from your location, and the
markers work on both the grid and the spiral.
